Recipe: Peanut Butter Oreo Slutty Brownies

FullSizeRender-41

Well over 6 years ago The Londoner introduced me to the heavenly delight called ‘Slutty Brownies’ and so I thought it was only right to finally share the recipe with y’all. (Just maybe give them a different name if you’re taking them to the local school bake sale)

It’s basically a base of cookie with a middle filling of Oreo biscuits and then topped with goo-ey brownie.. anyone else drooling already? According to Rosie ‘They’re called Slutty Brownies because they’re oh so easy, and more than a little bit filthy.’

1 Cookie Mix

1 Brownie Mix

2 Eggs

2 Packs of Original/ Peanut Butter Oreos

Oil

I agree that they are super quick and easy (around 45 mins in total) especially if you just buy the cookie and brownie mix but I personally prefer to whip up a quick cookie dough (just so I can eat the leftovers..)

Once you’ve preheated the oven (350F/180C/gas mark 4) and your cookie dough’s all mixed then the most important part is that you line the tray with baking paper/greaseproof paper. Or in my case you totally forget to buy this crucial ingreed and end up opening out cupcake cases as a substitute. It basically acts as a barrier to stop the cookie cooking too quick as the brownies take a little longer. I still tend to get it out after half an hour while the brownie seems ridiculously runny as from experience I know it will eventually set and makes them super m-o-i-s-t. (sorry I can’t even bring myself to type that word)

Once you’ve used the dough to fill the base of your tray you just wanna grab a packet or two of oreos and line them up fitting as many as you can in (and as many in your mouth) just squishing them slightly into the cookie.

After that it’s literally a case of whipping up your brownie mix and pouring the sweet gloop Bruce Bogtrotter’s dreams are made of over the base. Make sure it covers all of the oreos and then pop the soon-to-be brownies into the oven for half an hour!

Take them out and then, if you can resist, leave them to cool and set a little. I tend to cut it into 4×4 so that there’s an oreo in each slice!
