Last week I enjoyed another perk of being a blogger when I was invited to enjoy a fun and informative evening for the launch of Urban Decay’s new Skin Prep Range – Rehab. The lovely Jessica Carr and her Debenhams’ team did some great demos for us to watch, while all we had to do was sip on some Bucks Fizz and giggle at the tongue in cheek names like the ‘Backstab’ & ‘Walk of Shame’ Vice Lipsticks.
Although my all time fave UD product will forever be their Naked palettes, these products did seriously impress me..
The new skincare style products are based around the Rehab Makeup Prep Collection aimed for starting your day of makeup and then their Meltdown products to take the day off.
Rehab Makeup Prep Range:
- Pore Refining Peel So apparently this stuff is super powerful and just to be put on problem areas which is a relief after the painful charcoal mask videos spreading around the internet like it’s nobodies business.. When I tried it out on my hand and peeled it off after 10 minutes it feels a lot thinner and much less invasive. (Still as satisfying if you’re gross like me and like seeing the dirt don’t worry!)
- Lip Love Moisturising Lip Balm combines the classic coconut oil and shea butter but it somehow still manages to stay minty!
- Hot Springs Hydrating Gel (more on this later..)
- Meltdown Makeup Remover Dissolving Spray Which the inner lazy girl in me loves the idea of and it’s oil free which is even better for my combination skin, win win!
Not only were my sister and I lucky enough to receive samples on our seats we were also given exciting blogger goody bags! After acting like kids on Christmas we tried out the (full sized!) products and then I actually went back to the counter a few days ago for a mini makeover.
It was a great chance to try out the Hydrating Gel which turns into almost a micellar water on your face! The priming spray smells so nice too with the setting spray being a really nice fine spray so you don’t feel like you’re ruining your makeup instead of prolonging it.
The star of the show though, or should I say the highlight had to be the incredible highlighter they used on me, the photos totally don’t do it justice..
And not forgetting the packaging of the Beached Bronzer, which was also a great subtle product but I’m such a sucker when it comes to branding.
The pretty palm trees along with the lush smells of all the products just made me want to get whisked away to a beach even more… who’s with me?
The Rehab Range is all online now and I definitely recommend you popping into Debenhams or your local UD counter! http://www.urbandecay.co.uk/
